(Image: Instagram) Milind Soman recently completed a 240-kilometer Unity Run at Vasai Virar Fort. The renowned fitness icon of India covered this distance barefoot from Pune on August 10. This marked the third edition of the Unity Run, bringing his total distance covered to over 1100 kilometers. In the first Unity Run, he ran 420 kilometers from Mumbai to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat, while the second edition in 2022 took him 450 kilometers from Jhansi to the Red Fort in Delhi. Despite most people struggling for breath after such feats, Milind Soman remained as fresh as he was during his days as Captain Vyom.

Discussing his evergreen fitness, achieved through consistent hard work, Milind has a simple advice for adults: Keep pushing your limits. He achieved a silver medal for India in 1984 in the South Asian Games in swimming and later discovered his passion for running in 2003 when he participated in the Mumbai marathon.

Milind stresses the importance of self-challenges in fitness: "Keep gradually challenging yourself. Start by challenging yourself for just a minute, like seeing how many push-ups you can do. Cultivate a mindset of self-improvement. This will drive your motivation." He believes that the capacity of the human body is immense, as exemplified by his own feats without a trainer or nutritionist.
